TechlyUp — Kaam ki Kit: Ask AI a Work Question Course: Get Useful Answers from AI (techlyup.com/courses/get-useful-answers-from-ai) REUSABLE TEMPLATE — copy this, fill in the blanks, paste into any AI chat tool. TASK: [What do you want the AI to do? One sentence.] CONTEXT: [What does the AI need to know that it can't guess — who's the audience, what's already happened, what's already been tried or said?] FORMAT: [How should the answer look — a list, a table, an email, a word limit?] CONSTRAINTS: [What must it avoid or definitely include — tone, things not to say, hard requirements?] --- FILLED-IN EXAMPLE (synthetic — not a real client or invoice): TASK: Write a follow-up email about an overdue invoice. CONTEXT: Client hasn't replied in 5 days about a ₹40,000 invoice. This is the first follow-up, not the third — keep it low-pressure. FORMAT: Email under 100 words, with a subject line. CONSTRAINTS: Friendly but firm. No apology for following up. End with one clear question. --- VERIFICATION CHECKLIST — run this before you trust any AI answer for real work: 1. Numbers and dates: can you verify this specific figure from a source you trust? If not, treat it as a guess, not a fact. 2. Names and claims about people or companies: would you be comfortable if this turned out to be wrong and someone asked "where did you get that"? If not, verify before using it. 3. Anything going out externally: read it once as if you were the recipient. Does it sound like something a careful person wrote? 4. If the AI cites a source, check the source is real and says what the AI claims it says. --- PRACTICE TASK Pick one real question you need answered for work this week. Fill in the template above with your own task (not the example), run it in any AI chat tool, and check the response against the verification checklist before you consider it done. Success looks like: - All four fields filled in with your own real task. - You ran the completed prompt and got a response. - You checked that response against the verification checklist above.
